The smell of freshly-wrapped blunts being lit that, up until then, had only played a minor factor, now spread so much that it was the only smell worth mentioning, even more than the stench and desperation of canned beer and cheap cologne.
As always, it was a night of victory, defeat, surprise and, of course, a few snubs. If you happened to miss the year’s biggest night in music, here is a look at of some of the event’s biggest moments…good and bad.
The audience– movie buffs and casual viewers alike– appreciated how insanely good DiCaprio is at acting and had a great time watching the combination of comedy and classic Tartantinian violence unfold on screen.
Overall “Parasite” is a masterpiece– a beautifully acted, shot and directed piece of cinema. As such, it is no wonder the film received six Oscar nominations, and in my opinion, is sure to win the majority of them.
“Chixtape 5” is more than enjoyable and will certainly be on repeat. However, for the next project Lanez drops, it is time for him to explore another sound that could grant him the legend status the artists he looks up to and featured in his tape have rightfully earned.
Regardless of enjoying (or not enjoying) the performance, the overall vibe of the night was one filled with comradery and high spirits, resulting in a night of bonding between alumni and current students alike.
Released by Kemosabe/RCA Records and produced by Doja herself, alongside Tyson Trax and Yeti Beats, this full-length album proves why she deserves to have her name amongst 2019’s other breakout artists.
Sticking true to the theme of the film series itself, the soundtrack is one huge celebration of femininity and womanhood.
