What is First Impression?Â
First Impression is a special summer publication produced by The Miami Hurricane student newspaper staff in conjunction with the University of Miami Division of Student Affairs for incoming freshman and transfer students. The Miami Hurricane also publishes free weekly print editions and online content during the school year.
Where’s my copy?Â
New students should have received copies of the tabloid-sized paper in the mail in July. However, if you did not receive a copy, more copies of First Impression are available on the orange TMH newsstands and bins around campus. The digital copy is available above.
What’s in it?
First Impression includes content from The Miami Hurricane’s reporting from this year, new content tailored for new students, and information from university departments and colleges. We cover everything from academics on campus to life in Miami. Students can also find out more about student life, organizations and off-campus services through our specialized ad content.
