In the face of America’s least affordable housing market and the debilitating price tag of a private education, some University of Miami students are struggling to make ends meet. To get by, many student’s hold on-campus jobs. These positions frequently pay just above Florida’s minimum wage. UM’s Student Government(SG) was on a mission to raise these wages, however, their efforts have been brought to a halt.

Black History Mobile Museum coming to UM on Feb. 9th

These are just some of the artifacts University of Miami students will be able to see at the Black History 101 Mobile Museum next week. The award winning collection will be on display on Feb. 9th from 10am-3pm in the Shalala Student Center Activities Room.

Miami Athletics to build new $100 Million football operations center

Current and future students at the University of Miami will have no choice but to become acclimated to a construction heavy campus. In the past ten years, the university has undertaken several projects including the Donna E. Shalala Student Center, the Lennar Foundation Medical Center, Lakeside Village and the currently unfinished Centennial Village.
