Something funny going on at the Ring: a “Lucky Stiff” review

From April 20-29, the Ring put on the musical “Lucky Stiff,” and the stiff got stiffer as the plot unfolded. Considered a musical farce because of its hilarious entrances and exits, the Ring’s production proved it worthy of this title.

Florida Senate passes 6-week abortion ban

The Republican-majority Florida legislature approved a ban on abortions after six-weeks of pregnancy on Thursday, April 13. Desantis is expected to sign the bill into law as he prepares for an expected presidential run. Florida currently prohibits abortions after 15 weeks.

HP recently announced R&B singer-songwriter Kiana Ledé as the spring concert headliner. Kiana Ledé has featured and performed with top artists including Ari Lennox, Khalid, Lucky Daye and Kehlani. She is best known for her mixes of early R&B with pop, hip-hop and soul.

Referenda to raise student activities fee failed a second time

A financial referendum led by sophomore Senator Nik Howell, Chair of the Senate Policy and Finance Committee, aimed to raise the student activities fee by one dollar per semester to increase funding for the University of Miami Student Government (SG), but failed to make the ballot after being proposed for a second time.
