New soapbox to be venue for free student expression

On Tuesday, the University of Miami's School of Communication debuted its Common Ground Courtyard Soap Box, a wooden box that members of the UM community can step on to and speak their mind.

New concert policies for Homecoming 2008, changes due to Kweli’s shut-down

The University of Miami has changed several policies involving tomorrow's Homecoming 2008 concert, which will include a performance by funk rock band N.E.R.D. and opening act Kidz in the Hall, a hip hop duo, at 9:30 p.m. at the University Green.

Kiss for a cancer cure at Design District exhibit

While the act of kissing may have a plethora of beneficial effects, doing so can actually help save lives at pop artist and gallery owner Perry Milou's Pucker Up Project, an interactive art exhibit in Miami's Design District. The project, launched last month, lets gallery visitors literally "pucker up" and kiss one of several canvases painted by Milou, in exchange for a donation toward cancer research at the University of Miami Sylvester Cancer Center at the Miller School of Medicine.
