The highlight of the tournament for Miami was Debbie Ajagbe. The junior placed first in the women's throw and the shot put. With a distance of 22.55m in the women's throw, Ajagbe set a meet record, personal best and ranks fifth nationally. In addition to the two gold medals, Ajagbe was named ACC Field MVP.

“It's definitely one of the best feelings I've ever had,” Palmquist said. “I just love contributing to the team, even out of the bullpen and keeping the game close so we can have a chance to win.
“Very fortunate to come out with a win,” Miami head coach Gino DiMare said. "The guys are real happy right now. Its kind of a game where you can see guys were looking around and going, ‘oh jeez’. We had the game and the wind was blowing out, but it worked in our favor too.”
On Sunday, Beatrice Mompremier made her highly anticipated return to the court against Boston College in Chestnut Hill, where the redshirt senior scored 15 points in 17 minutes.
“Obviously just a bottom line is they got a lot of hits when they needed them and we didn't,” Miami head coach Gino DiMare said after Sunday’s loss. “With runners in scoring position we seemed to not ever get the big hit and it seems like they got them.”
Nine innings of baseball just wasn't enough for the top two teams in the country.
But after 11 innings, it was only fitting that only one run was the deciding factor between the No. 1 Hurricanes and No. 2 Gators when they squared off Friday night, with the Gators coming away with the 2-1 win.
