Despite missing almost the entirety of the 2019-2020 basketball season, Miami forward Beatrice Mompremier is expected to hear her name called by WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert this Friday in the WNBA draft.

After initially suspending all athletic activities indefinitely, the Athletic Coast Conference has announced that all athletic related activities through the end of the 2019-2020 school year are cancelled.

Just a day after announcing the cancellation of remaining winter championships and spring championships due to the coronavirus, the NCAA's Council Coordination Committee announced that it will grant another year of athletic eligibility for seniors playing spring sports this year.

The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Thursday afternoon that all athletics will be suspended until further notice amid the coronavirus, according to a statement.

"Home athletics competitions will continue without fans. This decision follows the NCAA decision yesterday to conduct the men's and women's basketball tournaments without fans," the statement read.

"They pitched me pretty tough, but I feel comfortable right now," Toral said. "I know the numbers don't show too much but I feel good right now and I like the way I feel."

For the first time in two years, the Hurricanes' golf team hosted the Hurricane Invitational at the Biltmore Hotel and Golf Course. Senior Renate Grimstad finished in 11th place individually and Miami placed eighth as a team.

"It's already a high energy thing," head coach Manny Diaz said. "The nature of the beast is that you have no choice but to be a high energy offense. The players knew it was on from our very first fast start drill. The difference in what a practice is. It’s a new experience."
