On Monday evening, the University of Miami community was invited to attend a free Spooky Spin Class at the Herbert Wellness Center. Five back-to-back, one-hour classes were offered. Students were encouraged to dress up in Halloween costumes. Staff Photographer Alisha Kabir captured the Halloween spirit below.
The groundbreaking ceremony for the Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio Building took place Wednesday afternoon by the Architecture School. The event was captured by Assistant Photo Editor Giancarlo Falconi.
Daytime Programming and Hurricane Productions hosted Fall Fever on the Rock Tuesday afternoon. Some of the activities included a petting zoo, pumpkin painting, and free sweets such as caramel apples and hot apple cider. An exciting encounter at the petting zoo was caught on camera by staff photographer Kawan Amelung.
The weekly marketplace between the University Center and the Richter Library, now referred to as the Well ‘Canes Marketplace, offers a variety of international cuisine and products, along with produce. If interested, make a stop at the Well ‘Canes Marketplace between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Wednesdays.
The Miami Hurricanes took on the Fighting Irish at Friday’s soccer game against Notre Dame. The Canes won 1-0 with junior forward Gracie Lachowecki scoring the winning goal. The excitement of the win was captured by Staff Photographer, Matthew Trabold.
