It certainly wasn’t pretty Sunday night at the Bank United Center when Miami (12-3, 3-0) beat Maryland 54-47 to improve their ACC record to 3-0, but in the end the Hurricanes came through and the reward was the best start to league play since Miami joined the ACC in 2004-05.

The Hurricanes defeated No. 6 Penn State, 69-65, on Thursday behind a tremendous defensive effort from start to finish. Miami (5-1) forced PSU (5-1) into 29 turnovers, including 20 in the first half.

Golden reflects on strong leadership, postseason bowl ban

With the Hurricanes 2012 season officially wrapped up, the team will now set off to organize their efforts towards next season and the future. Miami (7-5, 5-3 ACC) finished the regular season tied for first place atop the ACC Coastal Division with North Carolina, but isn’t eligible for the championship game or postseason bowl play due to a self-imposed postseason ban by the University in lieu of the impending NCAA investigation against the school.

Hurricanes prepare for resurgent Virginia defense

After a three-game, four week homestand, the Hurricanes will hit the road once more to Charlottesville to take on the Virginia Cavaliers in another pivotal ACC contest. Miami (5-4, 4-2 ACC) are looking to maintain their Coastal Division lead, while Virginia (3-6, 1-4 ACC) have struggled for most of the year, but are coming off a 33-6 win over NC State.

Miami beats Virginia Tech, on track for Coastal Division title

The Hurricanes 30-12 dismantling of the Virginia Tech Hokies on Thursday night was not quite a welcome back party towards national relevance, but it was a showcase of a program clawing its way back into the conversation. Miami (5-4, 4-2 ACC) took sole possession of first place in the ACC Coastal and effectively ended the Hokies (4-5, 2-3) title game chances.

Running back Eduardo Clements out for season with injury

The team announced on Saturday morning that junior running back Eduardo Clements will miss the remainder of the season with an undisclosed injury. Though the exact nature of the injury was not revealed, it was one that Clements suffered last week against Florida State.
