Until a community can sustain its own building, the "Chabad House" is held commonly held at the rabbi's house. The UM Chabad House, located at 1251 Hardee Rd, is the home of Rabbi Mendy Fellig and his wife, Henchi. Though Chabad is part of the Orthodox branch of Judaism, it welcomes students regardless of their degree of observance.
Unfortunately for Ryan and 34 other members of the lacrosse club, their season may be cut short partly because the Student Activity Fee Allocation Committee (SAFAC) has run out of money for the rest of the semester. The team was counting on SAFAC, which funds student organizations, to help out with its budget of $13,000. The money goes to travel, lodging, equipment, uniforms, referees and the league entry fee.
UM senior Carl Gardner was an ultimate tri-athlete until he hurt his knees. Luckily, he found a new way to exercise, and it’s hot.
Gardner started the UM Bikram Yoga Club last fall after suffering multiple knee injuries from running.
