Plaza Health Network honors six to eight women in South Florida a year. Dr. Patricia Whitely, vice president for student affairs at the University of Miami, was honored for her contributions to UM and the South Florida community.

Matthew Deroo created this project to integrate the Lowe’s resources with the local community and to support students’ learning across contexts. This is Matthews’ second year partnering with the Lowe, which he began at the end of 2018.

“I consider this an absolute honor,” Jackson said. “There are hundreds of people they could have asked to moderate. I'm excited to share the space not only with Megan but with Claudia.”

Eltouzkhy expressed gratitude at achieving tenure, a key career milestone for most academics. Being a member of a unique team of faculty and students working on improving people's education, psychological and physical wellbeing is the most rewarding part of his career.
