Blame the injuries, special teams, or a 12 p.m. kickoff against a struggling Georgia Tech team that limped into Hard Rock Stadium with just one win, but the Miami Hurricanes committed miscue after miscue as they fell to the Yellow Jackets in overtime.
A quintet of newcomers led the Miami Hurricanes to victory Friday night, overcoming a shaky first set on their way to a 3-1 (18-25, 25-12, 32-30 25-19) win over the visiting Syracuse Orange.
“I was excited when I heard she was coming,” he said. “I’m not a huge sports fan, but I watched the World Cup, and we need to support women’s sports and their fight for equality.”
“We live in a small village…four thousand people live here,” her dad said. “A golf course was built here in 2006. The following year I first took her to the golf course to get to know what golf was.”
“I am very pleased in the way our guys competed today,” said Hurricanes coach Aljosa Piric. “I am very pleased in the way over guys showed up to battle against a tough FAU team. This is a good team that we just beat and it should just give our guys a lot of confidence going forward.”
