UM Chorale provides a break from routine

Remember back in elementary school, or maybe even in middle school, when they made you take chorus class? For many, it may have seemed like another mundane and mandatory class, one in which you half-heartedly mumbled out words to songs that only your parents would truly love to hear. But for others, chorus class allowed them the chance to indulge in one of their true passions - singing. Some University of Miami students have been cultivating that passion by participating in one of the many chorale groups offered by the Frost School of Music.

Lanza hits Gusman Hall

The students of the Frost School of Music, together with Grammy Award-winning music producer Phil Ramone, will bring Lanza’s story to life with the premiere of the new musical “Lanza” at the Maurice Gusman Concert Hall on Nov. 8 and 9 at 8 p.m.

Joint degree gives law students head start

Beginning this semester, graduate students in the Frost School of Music and the School of Law will have the chance to broaden their academic horizons, with the first ever joint law and music business program in the country.
