The Hurricanes had a great team performance in their final home swim and dive meet of the season at the Whitten Center Pool. The Canes were led by junior Aino Otava, who finished with a career-best time of 1:57.24 in her signature event
The Hurricanes took to the road on Sunday afternoon looking for their second win against an AP Top 25 team this season, but North Carolina (18-4, 8-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) would not even allow the Canes to get started. The Tar Heels dominated from start to finish, defeating Miami (12-9, 5-6 ACC) by a final score of 85-38.
“It was a tough loss against Louisville, but I think when we came back from this kind of loss, we just [wanted] to be better and win the next games coming up,” graduate forward Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi said. “So, I think we’re ready to be focused for the next game against Carolina and to give 100% on the court.”
The Miami Hurricanes women’s basketball team was in need of a win on Thursday night after a crushing loss at the hands of No. 4 Louisville, and when the going got tough, their veterans delivered.

The Miami Hurricanes diving program was in Atlanta this past weekend, competing against Georgia Tech, Arkansas, and Tulane, and enjoyed multiple strong individual performances at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
Facing a team that the Canes lost to earlier in the season, Miami went on the road and prevailed 66-59 against Wake Forest to finish their ACC road trip with a record of 2-1. The win comes after a crushing loss to Boston College.
UM was led in scoring by transfer Lola Pendande, who had 13 points in the losing effort. The entire Canes starting five scored in double-digits, something not done all season.
