Photo of the Week: An Evening with Gabriela Garcia Medina

This week we have a photo from contributing photographer Kawan Amelung of “An Evening with Gabriela Garcia Medina.” As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, Medina performed her spoken word poetry for students. She spoke about a range of topics from cooking, love, herself and how poetry is an extension of her being. Medina has been writing professionally since 2005, opened for the Black Eyed Peas and Pitbull, and featured on SiTv’s “Latino’s on the Rise”.
