“We, [the Pre-Vet Society], just loves the chance to get the word out about local animal rescue organizations. If the event today finds one dog, cat, reptile, or bird a good home, that is our pay-off; and to us, it’s a pay-off of the richest kind.”

The Humane Society of Greater Miami, Cat Network, Miami Science Museum, Miami-Dade Animal Services, and the South Florida SPCA (Society of The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) are all organizations that collaborate with the Pre-Vet Society.  These groups all work towards getting animals adopted, or keeping them safe and healthy.

With the semester coming to an end, the organization will have it’s last fundraising event “Puppies on the Green” held on May 4, 2010 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Amy commented on the event, saying, “Students will be able to play with puppies and unwind from all the stress during reading days.”

All of the proceeds collected from their events are divided amongst the collaborating organizations and used towards the protection of animal rights.
