The Miss University of Miami of Pageant was held Tuesday evening at Gusman Concert Hall. The theme of this year’s scholarship pageant was “famous” and eight women from all backgrounds of study competed this year. Ke’ala Kamalu won the title as Miss University of Miami this year, and she will go on to represent the University at the Miss Florida Pageant with a chance to move onto the Miss America Pageant. After the Pageant, Ke’ala reflected on her win… “As miss university of miami I look forward to representing our school and community at the miss florida pageant this summer with dignity and grace. I am very appreciative of all of my family and friends that have helped me along the way and thankful for all their continued support in my endeavors.”
