Canes storm past Toreros

After falling to second-ranked Connecticut in the semifinals at Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands, No. 21 Miami trounced San Diego (2-3), 80-45, Monday night.

Senior forward Brian Asbury scored 14 points to help the Hurricanes (4-1) claim third place in the tournament.

Three others racked up double figures, including senior forward Jimmy Graham, who recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, on his birthday.

UM returns home to face Stetson (3-2) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
