I’m a sophomore and my major is still undeclared. I’ve taken two philosophy classes I really liked and I’m leaning towards that as a major. Unfortunately my parents are not in support of that decision. They keep telling me to major in something that will “lead to a profession,” like advertising or marketing. They say it’s really important to have a career, especially for a woman. I kind of agree, but I’m just not interested in those things. It just seems to me like they don’t care about my happiness.
