TODAY

Representatives from General Electric will be on-campus as a part of “GE Day at UM” looking for students interested in internship and job opportunity. Session 1 will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and Session 2 will be from 2 to 3:30 pm in UC Flamingo Ballroom A.

Designs for the International Week 2006 Logo Contest, hosted by the Council of International Students and Organizations, should be turned in to UC 213 by 5 p.m.

WEDNESDAY

The 4th Annual Majors Fair will be held in the UC Lower Lounge from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

“Portion Contortion,” a free nutrition course, will be taught from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. in the Wellness Center classroom. The session will focus on how to prevent overeating by discussing servings.

Spoken Word Wednesday features student, local and national speakers from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Rat.

The Cosford Cinema presents The 40-Year-Old Virgin at 8 p.m.

THURSDAY

The Peace Corps will have an information table set up for interested students in the Breezeway 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A philosophy colloquium on “The Place of Pleasure” featuring professor and author Candace Vogle, Ph.D. from the University of Chicago will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on the third floor library conference room of the Knight Physics Building.

A session on “Breaking into Security Careers: From Forensics to Homeland Security” will be held in the Toppel Career Center library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
