Students that purchased their airline tickets before Oct. 24 to go home between Dec. 2 and Dec. 14 may qualify for an airline service fee waiver. The University has made arrangements with certain airlines to waive these fees that resulted from the change in UM’s academic calendar after Hurricane Wilma. If an airline has not made an arrangement with the University, the student may still apply for a reimbursement through UM, which will be in the form of a credit towards spring semester tuition.
