Florida Leader magazine recently named The Hurricane the Best Newspaper in Florida in the private colleges and universities category. Judging for the award was based on excellence in writing, design and photography. The Hurricane was featured in Florida Leader’s “Best of Florida Schools” issue along with runner-up The Avion of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and honorable mention The Gargoyle of Flagler College.
