UMNEWS – Culture with a bang

As part of Asian-American Awareness Week, Fushu Diako, a group of performers specializing in the Japanese art of Taiko drumming, performed in the UC patio Monday night. The show was the first in a series of events during Triple-A-Week, presented by the Asian American Students Association. Other events will include: A “Silk Dinner,” a discussion about Asian American heritage and culture that will include food and refreshments, an Asian movie night and One-Night-of-Asia, a collective performance from the different Asian clubs on campus.
