HELPING THE DOLPHINS

The UM strandings team went to Marathon to help with the stranded dolphins off the Keys last week. Two rough tooth dolphins, named Notch and Naia, were brought to UM’s Rosenstiel School of Marine Science. Here, Tom Bacon and Sarah Johnson, volunteers for the Marine Animal Rescue Society (MARS) who are trained to handle wild injured dolphins, work with one of the dolphins brought to the Rosenstiel hatchery.
