The University of Miami will open as scheduled Tuesday, the Crisis Decision Team decided this afternoon, as the threat from Hurricane Ike continues to decrease.

The University of Miami will remain open as scheduled for the forseeable future, according to the school’s Crisis Decision Team, after reviewing the threat from Hurricane Ike.

University to open Monday; decision on evening classes to be made early afternoon tomorrow

The University of Miami will open as scheduled Monday morning, but encourages students and faculty to check the status of evening classes tomorrow afternoon, as the effects of Hurricane Ike move closer to South Florida.
