In commemoration of its 75th Anniversary, the Orange Bowl Committee, the group that hosts the post-season game as a way to bring tourism to South Florida, will be contributing $2.5 million to the City of Miami for a new football stadium at Moore Park at 765 NW 36th street.

For the last three seasons, they have had the same record heading into week three: 1-1. This year, though, instead of coming off an embarrassing loss to Oklahoma, the Miami Hurricanes are coming off a week during which they played a respectable away game against the No. 5 Florida Gators.

When people look back at this game, all they will see is a Hurricanes loss. What they won’t see is that this young Canes team battled for three quarters against a No. 5 Florida team that most expected to blow the Hurricanes away.
