The University of Miami Police Department in conjunction with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) have arrested a 16-year-old in the murder of the 8-to 10-foot crocodile killed in a UM canal Oct. 1.

A suspect has been arrested in the killing and mutilation of an American Crocodile found in the university’s canal system, according to University of Miami media relations.
