In 1987 Academy Award Winning performance in “Wall Street,” Michael Douglas gave a stone cold performance he was praised for. But in 2010’s sequel “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” Gordon Gecko seems to have wised up, and wants to be in his estranged child’s life.
‘An Education’ stunning, unsentimental
An Education could have easily fallen into all the trappings of a typical coming-of-age story: “Girl falls for older man, girl drops out of school, girl nearly sabotages college” is almost as cliché as it gets.
