Issues are planned out weeks in advance, so story submissions must be made at least one week in advance of an event for consideration, preferably two weeks. The deadlines for a news brief or calendar event submission are 5 p.m. Thursday for Monday’s issue and 5 p.m. Monday for Thursday’s issue.
It is policy of The Miami Hurricane to consider all submissions for possible coverage in one of our sections and/or as a calendar event.
In general, however, we can never guarantee coverage of an event or story idea. In the event that more information is needed for the neccessary coverage of an event, an editor will contact the listed contact person for more information. We thank your patience and understanding of our event submission policy.
