UM Men defeat FAU 7-0

The University of Miami women’s soccer team ended the season with an 8-10-1 (3-6-1) record. The record does not portray the Cane’s great play throughout the season, staying competitive in the toughest conference in the country.
The University of Miami women’s soccer team stunned the No. 2 defending national champion North Carolina Tar Heels 1-0 in front a packed Cobb Stadium Sunday afternoon.
The Hurricanes (7-6, 2-2) defeated the Clemson Tigers (3-10, 0-5) 2-0 Thursday night in front of a crowd of over 500 at Cobb Stadium.
The Hurricanes fell to the #5 ranked Florida State by a score of 4-1 Sunday in Tallahassee, falling to 1-2 in ACC play.
Alonzo recorded her fifteenth shutout of her career. She broke the record for most shutouts in a UM career and she is only a sophomore.
Burt is continuing to carry on the athletic pedigree by being a key member of the women’s soccer team.
Sunday Afternoon the Hurricanes (4-3-0) faced No. 1 Portland (7-0-0) at the Portland Nike Invitational, losing 2-0 to the soccer powerhouse.
Senior Beverly Goebel and Steinbruch and Macdonald were nominated to the All-Tournament Team.
The Canes survived unscathed with a 1-0 victory over the Western Carolina
UM dominated Ball State in a 5-1 rout Friday night at Cobb Stadium as Howarth recorded a hat trick.
