Pata murder an ongoing investigation two years later
It has been two years since the murder of former University of Miami student and football player Bryan Pata, and the investigation is ongoing, according to Miami-Dade Police.
Pata, formerly a criminology major and defensive lineman for the Miami Hurricanes, was shot dead at the age of 22 outside his apartment complex on Nov. [...]

The University of Miami Police Department in conjunction with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) have arrested a 16-year-old in the murder of the 8-to 10-foot crocodile killed in a UM canal Oct. 1.

Approximately 4,500 attendees came to the University of Miami’s Homecoming Howl concert, featuring Kidz in the Hall and N*E*R*D, which took place at the University Green on Friday from 9:30 p.m. to midnight.

Dance Marathon, an event to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network at Miami Children’s Hospital, will take place next Saturday, Nov. 1, not this Saturday. The event will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Hillel Center, located on Stanford Drive on the University of Miami’s Coral Gables Campus.
