Polish film director and writer, Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo, boldly breaks into the world of film with her first feature, “After.Life,” shortly after finishing her undergraduate degree from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2004. Through perseverance and passion for her art, Wojtowicz-Vosloo has had the opportunities to feature her short film “Pâté” at the Sundance Festival and to make this feature film, starring acclaimed actors Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci and Justin Long.

Matt Hires young, but no amateur

Though this young talent has only just begun the start of a long life in music, he is no amateur; being the first artist to sign with F-Stop Music (an imprint of Atlantic Records), opening for the likes of Eric Hutchinson, Paolo Nutini, and Serena Ryder, and collaborating with songstress Sara Bareilles on this album have been only a few of his greatest accomplishments.

Ultra hits Miami once again

It’s that eclectic, electric time of year again. That’s right, from Tuesday to Saturday, March 23-27, Miami Beach will be celebrating the 25th annual Winter Music Conference, a electronic dance music event. Held over five short days, the conference is jam-packed with 500 events, attracting the likes of artists, DJs, record label industry delegates and fans looking to have a good time. Bill Cosford Cinema brings Milan opera to Miami

Interested in seeing an opera, but not sure where to start? From September 12th through December 20th, in collaboration with Emerging Pictures, the University of Miami’s School of Communications will bring the sweet songs and sights from Milan’s La Scala Theatre to the University of Miami’s Bill Cosford Cinema by means of eight opera broadcasts filmed in high-definition.

Common with special guests The Wailers to appear at Homecoming

On November 6th, Hurricane Productions presents the 2009 Homecoming Concert featuring Common with Special Guests The Wailers. This concert, featuring hip-hop’s finest Common and Bob Marley’s The Wailers, will be held at 9:30p.m. on the University Green in front of Richter Library.
