Photo of the Week: New Design Studio Groundbreaking Ceremony

Sergio Gonzalez (Senior Vice President for University Advancement and External Affairs), Dr. Julio Frenk (University President), Stuart Miller (Chairman of the Board of Trustees), Tom Murphy Jr. (President and CEO of Coastal Construction), Rodolphe el-Khoury (School of Architecture Dean), and Thomas LeBlanc (Executive Vice President and Provost) break ground Wednesday afternoon for the construction of the Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio Building. This building was donated by Coastal Construction, a major South Florida builder, and will be LEED-certified and feature studios to accomodate more than 120 students once completed. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio Building took place Wednesday afternoon by the Architecture School. The event was captured by Assistant Photo Editor Giancarlo Falconi.
