Photo Brief: Farmers Market

JESSICA HODDER//THE MIAMI HURRICANE

Jennifer Dennis, a sophomore, shops the fresh produce at the first Farmer’s Market held between the post office and Richter library Wednesday afternoon, October 13, from 10AM to 2PM.  The event was organized by the student government.  Dennis found out about the event through the Facebook group that was created for it. “I like to support local growers…we used to have a farmer’s market back at home too,” Dennis said while perusing The Market Company’s tomato selection. Student government asked The Market Company to participate in the event; Claire Tomlin of The Market Company said “After we met with the President and Vice President of student government, we could see how eager they were about the event and that made us all the more thrilled to work with them.”
