Commencement speakers announced
On Wednesday, UM media relations announced the speakers for the graduation ceremonies this semester. William D. Walker, dean and university librarian at UM, will speak at the graduate degree ceremony at 4 p.m. on May 13.
Leonard Abess, CEO of City National Bank of Florida, and U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin will speak at 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., respectively on May 14.
Paul Farmer, chair of the department of global health and social medicine at Harvard medical school, will speak at 5 p.m. on May 14 and May 15. Laurence Tribe, a Harvard law professor, will speak at 2 p.m. at May 16.
