Sports Briefs Feb. 11

Men’s Basketball:

The Hurricanes are coming off of a loss at FSU on Saturday night and looking to rebound agains the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at home Wednesday night at 7:00.

Women’s Basketball:

Shenise Johnson was named the ACC’s “Women’s Player of the Week” this past week, as she was a star in the ‘Canes past two victories over SIU Edwardsville and UNC.  The team will look to continue their success at the BankUnited Center on Thursday night when they host the Virginia Cavaliers at 7:00.

Volleyball:

Second year Assistant Coach Laura Kuhn was awarded a “Thirty Under 30 Award” by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, an honor that recognizes up-and-coming volleyball coaches under 30 years old in the sport at all levels of the game.
