Hurricane Productions’ Freaky Belly Bust and ‘Canes Night Live’s planned events have been cancelled.

Salsa Craze and Hurricane Productions’ party at the Rat has been cancelled.

Dreaming of Democracy. Race, Sex and Suspicion: The Myth of the Black Male School of Law event scheduled for will be rescheduled to a later date.

Ibis Ride and the shuttle to Sunset Place have been cancelled for today and Saturday. The University Centre Plaza shuttle crossing U.S. 1 will continue today but be cancelled Saturday.


The Festival Miami Marvin Hamlisch performance has been cancelled.

The football game between Miami and Georgia Tech was postponed. The game will be played Saturday, Nov. 19. The game at Wake Forest will be played Saturday, Nov. 12.


Hurricanes Help the Hometown has been cancelled.


Assuming that the University is in session, the Homecoming Blood Drive begins today. Blood donations will be accepted in the University Ballrooms from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. through Wednesday. Donors will receive a T-shirt, Improv Comedy Club tickets, food, refreshments and will be entered to win a number of prizes.

This is the last day to submit paperwork for new Student Organizations. All forms are due to UC 209 by 5 p.m.
