TODAY

Come out and support the Hurricanes at the first Pep Rally of the year at the UC Rock from 2 to 3 p.m. There will be music, free giveaways and plenty of ‘Cane spirit to prepare for Saturday’s game vs. the Duke Blue Devils at 3 p.m. at the Orange Bowl.

UM Rosenstiel School hosts its annual auction at 4:30 p.m. in the Commons on Virginia Key. The Event includes a rummage and plant sale, silent auction and live auction to support graduate students’ research. The $5 admission includes food, beer and door prizes.

The September Student Leader of the Month nomination forms are due today in UC 209 by 5 p.m.

Family weekend begins today and extends through Sunday.

SATURDAY

Family Weekend’s Family Fun Run begins at 8 a.m.

SUNDAY

The Indian Students Association and the Hindu Students Council host annual dancing festivities at 7 p.m. on the UC Patio. No dance experience is required, as basic instruction is part of the event.

MONDAY

The Islamic Society of University of Miami invites you to fast for the Fourth Annual Ramadan, Fast-A-Thon at UM. Local businesses will donate $1 to Hurricane Relief for each non-Muslim student, staff and faculty who pledges to go hungry for one day. You don’t have to find sponsors; all you have to do is pledge to fast! Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. in the UC Ballrooms for all participants.
